This book brings back memories. I read it when I was just a kindergardener. I was amazed by the pictures, even thouh it has not words, its fun to read.
An "all family" book which captivates the attention of children and adults alike, from grandchildren to grandparents. It can be used to entertain and help very young minds to create a story as they go through the book. It may be fascinanting for adults as they progress through pages and realize that they couldn't figure out the real story and, on a more profound note, to accept that no matter what and how much we think we know about something, there is always a "bigger" picture to it.Heidi Kleckin
One of the best books on frames of reference and the power of perspective and context ever. Works with a 4-year old or a business executive.
It can start long conversations with your kids. This book is fantastic - it has become my standard baby gift. The book starts with a picture, and then zooms into smaller and smaller views of the same picture. I am a college professor and many of my colleagues use it in their classes to start discussions on perspective and diversity. But my young kids love it just for it's colorful pictures.
My students loved how this book started from extremely close up and zoomed out. It's a great way to teach prediction from context clues.
